Dan Bruneau
Board Member
Dan has served on BSRI’s Board of Directors since June 2020 and says, “The most inspiring part of being on the board is the opportunity to work with talented and dedicated people to support a great cause.”
Dan spent nearly 25 years working for the U.S. Department of Veterans affairs, primarily in health care communications. Prior to this, he worked as a newspaper reporter and editor and public affairs director at an international airport.
Dan now owns a consulting business in communications and professional development.
In his free time, Dan enjoys taking acting classes at Leland Cultural Arts Center. He also spends time writing projects, including a one-act play he’s working on now. He considers his biggest accomplishment to be overcoming stage fright so he could be an effective public speaker in his work…and now on stage!
Dan shares that the best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is, “Always tell the truth; then you don’t have to remember what you said.” He goes on to share his best advice to someone else is, “You’re never too old to improve yourself.”
Dan’s life philosophy for success is to, “Treat others as you wish to be treated and be prepared, alert and available for opportunities.”
