Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc. (BSRI) is proud to announce that we have been selected as a 2026 AARP Community Challenge grantee.
This project will support the construction of the “Silver Connection”, an accessible sidewalk that will safely connect the Calabash Senior Center with the adjacent Calabash Shores 55+ community. The project is designed to improve walkability, enhance mobility, and strengthen access to essential programs and services that support healthy, independent aging.
The AARP Community Challenge is a grant program that makes tangible improvements in communities that help jump-start long-term livable change. It is part of AARP’s nationwide Livable Communities initiative, which supports cities, towns, neighborhoods, and rural areas in becoming great places to live for people of all ages.
This project was made possible for the community due to the generous support of AARP.
We are honored to be among the 2026 grantees and look forward to bringing this important infrastructure improvement to life in Brunswick County.
