Mary has served on BSRI’s Board of Directors since 2019. She shares that the best part of being a BSRI Board Member is witnessing the organization’s growth and commitment to the diverse population of older adults in Brunswick County.

Mary is a retired administrator for Independent and Assisted Living Communities in Pennsylvania and she holds a Masters degree in Gerontology.

In Mary’s free time she enjoys family time, walks, golf, yoga, and reading. 

When asked what the best piece of advice she’s ever received is, Mary replies: “The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is…Surround yourself with people who make you a better person.” She also shares that her biggest accomplishment is raising her son as a single mom.

Mary’s life philosophy for success is to “Pause and Pray.”
