This Giving Tuesday, join a community of Difference Makers working together to ensure Brunswick County seniors have support when they need it most.
Last year, our community answered the call. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, BSRI raised more than $22,000 to launch our Crisis Fund—creating a resource dedicated to helping seniors facing urgent and unexpected challenges.
Because of you, help was available when seniors needed it most.
But the need continues.
A sudden home repair. An unexpected health challenge. A loss of support. For many older adults, a small setback can quickly become a crisis.
That’s why we need Difference Makers.
Your generosity helps BSRI respond quickly with critical support that promotes safety, independence, and dignity for seniors throughout Brunswick County.

What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is a day when people around the world come together to support organizations and causes that strengthen their communities.
Giving Tuesday 2026 will take place on December 1, 2026, but BSRI’s campaign will begin earlier in the season and continue through the end of the year—providing multiple opportunities for our community to become Difference Makers.
Building a Stronger Safety Net for Seniors
Every day, BSRI connects with seniors who want to remain safe, independent, and active in their homes and communities. But sometimes, unexpected challenges arise that require immediate support.
The Crisis Fund helps bridge that gap.
Whether responding to urgent home needs, safety concerns, or other unforeseen hardships, these funds allow BSRI to provide assistance when it matters most.

When Paula’s home became unsafe, her health and independence were slipping away.
Thanks to BSRI’s Aging Resources team, our friends at WARM NC, and funding from the Choosing Home grant, Paula received critical home repairs — including a rebuilt ramp and a safe, accessible bathroom. These changes restored her stability, dignity, and ability to remain in the home she loves.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your help to support more seniors like Paula through BSRI’s Crisis Fund — providing emergency home repairs, personal care, and vital support when hardship strikes.
