Arnold, fondly known as “Arnie”, the current Chairman of BSRI’s Board of Directors,  has served as a member since 2015. He feels the best part of being a BSRI Board Member is knowing that we are helping and supporting the seniors in Brunswick County.

Arnie is a retired site manager of a nuclear generating station responsible for all routine maintenance and modifications. This career was spread over 35+ years in Naval and civilian nuclear power.

Arnie enjoys time spent with his wife, Marlene, who he has been married to for 38 wonderful years, and still refers to as “the love of my life.” 

He also likes cars and spends free time riding around in his supercharged Grand Sport Corvette.

When asked what the best piece of advice he’s ever received is, Arnie replies, “Ensure you have all the correct information before you make a decision.” He views his biggest accomplishment to be “Hiring an additional 1200 qualified technicians to perform all the required maintenance and install regulatory driven modifications during a refueling outage from shutdown to start-up in 30 days.”

Arnie’s life philosophy for success is to, “Always strive to accomplish any task to the best of my ability.”
