Attention: The BSRI Centers at all five locations offer programs and services on a regular schedule. Recommended guidelines proposed by the NC Governor's Executive Orders for indoor gatherings are being administered. Face coverings are optional for all indoor activities. BSRI continues to encourage program participants to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

"The Greatest Wealth is Health"

Our mission is to advocate and increase awareness of hunger in the community. BSRI partners with the Food Bank to provide supplemental food to our participants in need. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC is a nonprofit organization that provides food to people who are at risk of hunger. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and programs for children and adults through 6 branches.

BSRI’s food pantries provide a pre-packed box of supplemental non-perishable food items once every 3 months to each household. To be eligible to receive a food box, you must be a resident of Brunswick County with a household income at or below 130% of the federal poverty guideline.

2nd and 4th Friday of every month from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
*If you receive meals on wheels, your box will be delivered with your meal.

Further questions regarding the food pantry, should be directed to our Wellness Program Manager, Mallory Balice.
Phone: 910.754.2300 ext. 1204

*Donations of non-perishable food items are accepted and greatly appreciated at any of the senior centers.
